מה לומדים בתואר ולמה כדאי ללמוד אותו בבר-אילן?
התוכנית הדו-חוגית במדעי החיים ופסיכולוגיה היא תוכנית ייחודית המגשרת בין הבנת המנגנונים הביולוגים לבין התנהגות ותהליכים מנטליים. שילוב זה מאפשר הבנה מעמיקה של ההתנהגות האנושית דרך שתי נקודות מבט משלימות. תוכנית הלימודים כוללת את הידע הבסיסי בתחומי הפסיכולוגיה והביולוגיה וכן מרחיבה את הידע בנושא נוירופיזיולוגיה.
הקורסים בפסיכולוגיה נלמדים עם תלמידי/ות הפסיכולוגיה, והקורסים בביולוגיה נלמדים עם הסטודנטים/ות למדעי החיים, כך שהלמידה בכל אחד מהתחומים היא מעמיקה ויעילה. באופן זה נפתחות לסטודנטים/ות אפשרויות להמשך בכל אחד מהתחומים הללו בנפרד או בשילוב ביניהם.
אילו התנסויות מעשיות יש בלימודים לתואר?
The Life Sciences program includes hands-on experience in two teaching laboratories: Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Additionally, in the third year, students can apply to join a research laboratory within one of the Faculty's research groups, subject to availability and the acceptance criteria of each group.
איך בנויה תוכנית הלימודים?
Life Sciences Courses – 79 CP (70 CP required, 9 CP elective)
Psychology Courses – 54 CP (50 CP required, 4 CP elective)
The Life Sciences curriculum includes:
Year 1: Primarily introductory courses in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics (36 CP required courses in Life Sciences).
Year 2: Core Biology courses such as Biochemistry, Genetics, and Molecular Biology (24 CP in Life Sciences).
Year 3: Required courses (8 CP), Seminar (2 CP), and Elective courses (9 CP) in Life Sciences.

מהן אפשרויות התעסוקה והקריירה?
Graduates of the program gain comprehensive knowledge in both biology and psychology, expanding their career options upon completion. This enables them to pursue advanced degrees in either field or enter the job market.
Faculty graduates go on to work in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries, technology startups, the food and agriculture sectors, research institutes, hospitals, clinics, and more.

In the Life Sciences program, students take core courses such as Genetics, Biochemistry, and Molecular Biology. Additionally, students will enroll in specialized courses within the field of Neuroscience and Neurophysiology, including "Window into the Brain," Cellular Neurophysiology, and Systems Neurophysiology.
