RNAble, a FutuRx company, is seeking a full-time Senior Scientist for an exciting new program developing novel RNA-based therapeutics. The senior scientist will use her/his scientific and lab hands-on skills to develop assays and lead experiments to discover novel therapeutics for a variety of indications. This is a unique opportunity to establish the company research activities and scientific directions in a new and exciting field of RNA.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute discovery and development lab activities.
• Lead preclinical discovery and mechanistic research efforts.  
• Participate in Israel Innovation Authority periodic summary reports.
• Participate in recruiting and managing research associates.  
• Review competitive landscape/current scientific literature and implement required adjustments to short and long-term research plans.  

Requirements

• PhD in molecular/cell biology with an emphasis on RNA research and 1-2 years post-PhD experience.
• Hands on experience in Tissue Culture and several molecular techniques including RT-qPCR, Western Blot and ELISA.
• Experience in RIP and Northern Blot will be considered an advantage.  
• Experience in imaging will be considered an advantage.
• Superior written and oral communication skills.      
• At least one first author publication in a peer reviewed journal.
• Excellent teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work long hours.
• Enjoys wet-lab bench work.
