Light Microscopy Unit
The Light Microscopy Unit provides advanced imaging technologies and scientific support for the visualization, characterization, and quantitative analysis of biological samples. Its capabilities include confocal and super-resolution microscopy, widefield and fluorescence microscopy, live-cell and time-lapse imaging, 3D and 4D imaging, laser microdissection, and high-content screening.
The Unit supports researchers throughout the imaging workflow, from experimental planning, sample preparation, and staining to selecting the appropriate microscopy technique, instrument training, image acquisition, processing, analysis, and quantification.
Advanced image-analysis workstations and software, including Imaris, Huygens Essential, and Leica 3D analysis tools, support image processing, three-dimensional visualization and reconstruction, and quantitative analysis.
