Life Sciences Curriculum – Flexible Dual-Major Track

The flexible double major track in Life Sciences offers students the freedom to combine their studies with another field of interest. In this program, students explore fascinating topics in biology and gain exposure to a wide range of areas within the life sciences. You’ll study in an inspiring academic environment, benefit from cutting-edge research approaches, work in state-of-the-art laboratories, and have opportunities to apply scientific theories in real-world settings.
Courses include Genetics, Physiology, Ecology, Immunology, Microbiology, and Biochemistry—opening the door to research opportunities and a wide variety of career paths in science.

Admission Requirements

Curriculum Structure and Courses

Program Duration: 3 years (6 semesters)
Life Sciences Courses – 76 CP

The program includes core required courses in the first, second, and third years. In the third year, students can choose from a cluster of elective courses offered by the faculty, along with a selection of lab courses that provide hands-on, practical experience. 
It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that their course schedule does not include overlapping classes with the second major.
*1 CP course = a semester course of one hour per week.

Proposed Class Schedule Year 1: Introductory courses in biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics.
Proposed Class Schedule Year 2: Biology courses including biochemistry, genetics,  molecular biology.
Proposed Class Schedule Year 3: Mandatory courses, elective courses, and seminars based on areas of interest in Life Sciences.

Practical Activities and Experiences Conducted in the Faculty

The program includes hands-on experience in teaching laboratories.

Career Opportunities for Graduates

Graduates of the Faculty are well-integrated into the biotech and pharmaceutical industries, tech startups, food and agriculture sectors, research institutes, hospitals, clinics, and more. Many of our graduates continue their academic journey with advanced degrees and contribute to pioneering research. Additionally, some graduates pursue the four-year medical track.
